Every person in the Carson City area needs to hear the Gospel.
On March 15, 2015, Mid-Coast Baptist Church appointed Pastor Chris Teale to accomplish that goal. He was sent from Maine on May 1, 2016, and moved with his wife, Angela, and their four children, to Carson City. On July 14, 2016, Mid-Coast Baptist Church sent Keith and Allison Getch to help the Teale family in this great effort.
The Pastor
Chris Teale, a native of Brunswick, Maine, and a graduate of Richmond High School in Richmond, Maine, was saved in the summer of 2002 at the age of 19 after hearing a message out of 1 Peter 1 about the precious blood of Christ. Chris was saved as he turned to God and put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was then baptized into Mid-Coast Baptist Church. Shortly after, the Lord placed a desire in his heart to preach, and he desired to start training to be a pastor.
While training in his church, Chris worked in warehousing, as an apprentice building ships, and then took a job in an engineering field after graduating from an apprenticeship with Maine Maritime Academy. While the Lord was good to provide all of this work to him, he still had his heart set on becoming a pastor and having a part in spreading the Gospel to the whole world.
In October of 2013, he was ordained as one of the pastors at Mid-Coast Baptist Church, and he served there alongside Pastor Bobby Mitchell and Pastor Bob Mitchell until he was sent with his family across the country to Nevada.
In April of 2004, the Lord blessed Pastor Teale with a wife, Angela, also a native of Maine. Angela turned to God and was saved in her teenage years during January of 2001. They have been blessed with four children that they are training to love and serve God and others.
Pastor Teale has a desire to see the Lord Jesus glorified in Carson City as lives are changed by the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has a passion to help people overcome the difficulties of living in a sinful world by applying the Word of God to their situation. His life passage of Scripture is the one that was used to bring him to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
